Asbestos Safety Kit

The asbestos safety kit is used by vessel’s crew to remove asbestos materials during operation at sea in case of emergency only. The kit is accompanied by an instruction how to use the PPE and equipment. The kit is not meant to be used for large scale asbestos removal activities.

Most of the times, the Asbestos Removal Kit is part of the Asbestos Management Plan. In this plan, the locations of asbestos are indicated. Also, the plan covers the preventive measures that needs to be taken in order to avoid exposure to the asbestos fibres.
