Asbestos Removal

The consultants of MA-Solutions have experience in supporting and supervision of large-scale asbestos removal projects in the maritime and offshore industry. We can arrange the entire removal process including all relevant documentation which needs to be submitted to the Classification Society and/or Flag State.

MA-Solutions can arrange the asbestos removal for all types of applications which can be used on board of your vessel. Many ship owners have recently been faced with a common problem: asbestos containing gaskets. Therefore, MA-Solutions have developed a structured and budget friendly asbestos removal process: the Pipe Labelling System (PLS).

In order to determine the exact scope of the removal works it is important to prepare all systems on board before starting the asbestos removal project.  All data will be listed in the Asbestos Removal Data Sheet by using the PLS in order to arrange a smooth removal process.

The objective of the on-site supervision is to protect the assets (brand name) of the shipowner with regards to the asbestos removal project on board their ship in line with the applicable regulation and expectations of the shipowner.

Procedures and operationalization of the asbestos removal plan will be observed and reported to the shipowner with regards to safety, operations, environment and the Asbestos Removal Plan.
